Scottish landlords face steep penalties under new tenancy rules

Scottish landlords must brace for a significant shift in tenant compensation rules coming into effect on 6 October 2026. The First-tier Tribunal will now be empowered to award tenants up to 36 months’ rent if a tenancy is wrongfully terminated, a twelvefold increase from the prev
